A close cousin of Khaman, Dhokla is a vegetarian culinary dish that is found predominantly in the Indian State of Gujarat and parts of adjacent states. Made from a fermented batter derived from legumes like Chickpea, Pigeon pea, Urad and Rice, Dhokla makes a wonderful and light breakfast. Make it with the Ramdev effect and rest assured your Dhoklas can be easily enjoyed as main course, as a side dish, or as a snack.

  1. Mix premix into 560 ml water and whip it.
  2. Add crushed green chilli,ginger,garlic and keep it aside for 15 mins.
  3. Whip it and steam for 15 mins.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil and put some mustard seeds, sesame and a pinch of Ramdev Hing. Once the seasoning is ready, pour over hot dhokla.
  5. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve with chutney!!!
