These cakes are best made by steaming the classic Ramdev’s Idli Mix consisting of lentils and rice. As a dish, Idli is versatile and has several variations like Rava Idli, which is made from semolina and we give you all the basics to make your own steaming hot authentic Idlis.

  1. Mix premix into 650 ml water, whip it and keep aside for 15 mins.
  2. Grease the idli cooker moulds with some oil and pour the batter into the moulds.
  3. Steam for 15 mins on medium flame.
  4. Gently remove idlis from the moulds .
